so much to say...

I have so many thoughts running through my head. I mean, literally my thoughts are coming at lightning speed.

First off, wedding planning is awesome. There is little that can compare that is as exciting for me as daydreaming not just about the day but the years that I will get to share with the man of my dreams (Lord willing). I love Mikey and I'm so excited to get to be his wife. Whooooooooo!!

Second, I love my church. I love Pacific Crossroads Church!! I never thought I would live to see the day when I actually find a church that I love but God has blessed my socks off with this church. The Pastor is amazing and although I believe this style of church is not the (capitol C) Church and this is the western style church and God can move in any way through us, His Church Body.... it has ministered to me greatly. For my season of life that I am in right now, this church has ministered to me greatly... oh, I already said it. Well, make note of it, it is so awesome I love it.

The Pastor talked today about being honest and I like him cause he pulls his sources and quotes from the Bible and places obscure like Billy Joel quotes. I just love it. Cause secular music speaks to us, no matter what you think... it can shape you. ANYWAY! (see, tangents and rabbits trails... my thoughts are crazy today)

He talked about a changed life and said, "change is not only possible but it's a promise w/ Christ and through Christ." He said that the first thing we need to be changed is to be honest... with ourselves, with God and with others.

I just love where God has me now.

I feel summer is around the corner or perhaps has already arrived. I've received at least two minor sunburns, a flip flop tan line and am already through (almost) a bottle of suntan lotion. :) (spf 8~ hee hee hee)

Ohhh I have a recipe you should try.... here ya go.
Nutty Chocolate Oatmeal Bars
2 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/4 light brown sugar
1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
1/2 c. egg whites
1/4 c. smooth peanut butter
3 T light margarine
1/4 c. chopped hazelnuts (i used almonds...)
1/4 c. mini chocolate chips

*pre heat oven to 350F and lightly spray 13x9x2 inch metal pan with cooking spray. in a medium bowl, stir together oatmeal, flour, baking soda, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl whisk together brown sugar, applesauce, egg whites, peanut butter and margarine. add this to flour mix. whisk until moistened. fold in the nuts and chocolate chips.
spread out in baking pan.
bake 20-22 minute or until middle comes out clean on knife or toothpick
transfer to cooling rack, cool 10 minutes
cut into 36 bars*

Now that you have made them and are eating them here's a secret~ they're HEALTHY for you! Don't let that fact deteer you from trying them because they are simply amazing and delicious.

Try them! I promise you'll love them!
Okay, I'm off. I'm easily distracted today and it's sunny so I might go skip through the neighborhood. :)

I'm so excited for your wedding plans, the wedding and your life with Mikey! Yay! And NICE birthday surprise (I was just on Mikey's blog as well.) You're an awesome fiance and you'll be an awesome, amazing Proverbs 31 wife!

As for minor sunburns, no more! Don't let the crazy SoCal thinking infiltrate...you're a white woman, own it. As a melanoma survivor, I cringe when I read about sunburns or SPF-anything under 40. :) So, here's a little unsolicited feedback, cover up. Stay off the beach during peak hours, embrace your beautiful, young skin because you will not be in your 20's always (amazing how fleeting that time will seems in retrospect) and you'll want to keep your youthful good looks. Tanned skin is damaged skin...no such thing as a "healthy" tan.

Okay, off the soapbox. :)

Happy Wedding Planning! Sounds like you're enjoying it which is great. Too many stress out. I was on the other end of the spectrum and did my makeup in the car on the way to the church. Talk about laid back! :) But I had the best time and loved every minute of it. You will, too.
