"I have often walked down this street before... knowing I'm on the street where you live..." I love that song and now you too, my friends, can "be on my street". This is the house where I live and the street I live on.
This is a picture of me studying. Holly, my college roommate of two years, wanted to take it because she knows studying is not a passion of mine. But since it is a language I am interested in (and a culture) it is much more fun to study then microbiology. Ha ha!! I am also sitting in front of the missionaries heaters because Holls and I don't have one of these. So we "store up" heat before venturing home. :)

OK, so if I start a 'drive' for one of these heaters, would that be a good idea?
I think my missionary daughter would be encouraged if she were warm!
By the way, thanks for the pictures! It really helps to visualize your ministry there.
How else can we encourage you, Jo?
I love you mucho, mui, grande.

Hey jo!
what fun, to see where you are living. I am a visual learner, so seeing is believing for me! It feels like you are still so close, and Japan looks sorta similar (just in the photos you've shown), but you are in JAPAN!!!
Thanks for sharing. Your pictures and your life. I miss you and love you and thought of you often this Christmas. You are a dear friend.
To my Papa:
No need to send me a heater, dear Papa! I am keeping warm with the heaters here. Plus, it's not as bad as I make it sound. It is okay. But I appreciate your concern.
You can continue to encourage by being YOU and being the man I love and admire so.
