Unoriginal but fun

Okay, I saw this on Em and Ange's blog and decided to do it because I can't sleep and I'm bored.

2. Diamonds or Pearls? diamonds
3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? the Lake House (i'm a little behind here)
4. What is your favorite TV show? I don't watch t.v. but we have CSI on DVD... so CSI but Japanese t.v. is HILARIOUS!!!
5. What did you have for breakfast? oatmeal (instant) and coffee from Scooters (yeah Chris and Nate's arrival)
6. What is your middle name? Kay
7. What is your favorite Cuisine? Korean! Hooray for Jin Rood and kimchi... my family is going to wonder if I really went to Japan since I can make more Korean food than I can Japanese... or at least I think Japanese food should always have kimchi added to it. Seriously, what did I eat before Jin Rood's cooking?
8. What foods do you dislike? natto
9. What is your favorite potato chip? potato chips kind of gross me out but i used to LOVE dill pickle chips because they were soooo addicting... i can't remember the last time i had one...
10. What is your favorite CD at the moment? Soooo many. I'm kind of revisiting some classic Joanna music~ Copeland, Nickel Creek (did you hear they're taking a "break") Jack Johnson, ohhh yeah and Mitsuru made me a rocking Japanese mix. Rock on!
11. What kind of car do you drive? i don't have a car... and the more I'm in Japan, the more I realize I think I'll be okay without one. :) I think wherever I end up, I would like a red bike with a wicker basket. That way I can save on gas and payments won't keep me in America. Of course, if I live in Illinois, the winter will be cruel on my bike and my nose (i hate when my nose gets cold, don't you?) Soooo... red bike if God moves me somewhere nice. But that's a long time from now away.
12. Favorite Sandwich? Japan's Subway Ebi (shrimp) Avacado or America's Turkey Tom (no mayo, from Jimmy Johns)
13. What characteristics do you despise? Unforgiveness, lack of grace (i need a lot)
14. What are your favorite clothes? my GAP Jeans and a grey Hanes undershirt
15. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation? California and Arizona
16. What color are your eyes? Green with brown around the pupil and little flecks of blue (my cousin Rikki told me that and it was a compliment that has stuck with me since)
17. Favorite brand of clothing? I'm not picky, gap jeans fit me the best, I like Japan's UNI QLO
18. Where would you want to retire? I'd love to move to move somewhere kind of crazy... keep on the move, go to a place somewhere, maybe a Japanese island and just grow old with the locals, working their gardens, loving them... who knows Japan, Africa, Canada, Illinois... I just want to continue learning about people and making people smile.
19. Favorite time of day? even though it's early, i love the mornings when I am the only one awake and the sun pours through my balcony window, i stumble into the kitchen, make a pot of coffee and curl up to read the Word or hang out in the sunshine in the quietness before anyone stirs. Sometimes I wake up just for that moment and then I go back to bed... ha ha!!

29. Any new and exciting news you'd like to share with everyone? I have exciting news but I can't share with anyone. Oh wait, I can tell you that I am skateboarding now. I decided it might help work my leg muscles to prepare me for snowboarding. And it's quicker to get to around... but let's just say I am learning... learning, learning, always learning.

I officially got the award for being the most distracting... ha ha!!), and now Nav staff.
34. Favorite Holiday? probably Christmas... but I have such HIGH expectations for Christmas that every year I am sadly disappointed. I can't help it but I always expect the same thing... everyone waking up SUPER early and opening our stockings, etc. One year I got mad at my brother's fiance (sorry Alaina) because she slept in and we couldn't open our gifts until she got up. I was like, "Aaaallllaina... do you want in this family or not?" ha ha!!! I can be somewhat of a Grinch, i guess. But it's all for a good cause. I just like the family traditions. I've given up the cookie making and decorating and the sleeping under the tree (although that's sad). Every year we used to sleep under the tree and then my brothers went and grew up. What a raw deal the youngest gets... we never fully grow up.

OR OR OR MarkandRitaville (get it?) in Pensacola... the beautiful weather. Jordan trying to get me into Florabama. "So you're telling me that for $60 i can get a flute of champagne and a party hat? Even though New Years is in 11 minutes?" celebrating the new year on the beach, the five of us~ freezing our butts off and then Jonah on the pier.

38. Glasses or Contacts? contacts but actually both are okay
39. Ever been toilet papering? um, is Jamie K. reading this? the best toilet paper story is probably when we toilet papered Bruce High School during Homecoming Week. enough with you people and your "only because i'm bored" excuses for doing surveys. they are awesome and you should make time in your day specifically for filling them out. some people's priorities are so whack.

Em, discovering strawberries and cream cheese could easily break me of every ounce of control I have on my eating. it's seriously the best food... my RA friends teased me that one day they'd walk in my room to find me in my closest in a strawberries and cream cheese coma.

61. Have you ever wrecked your brother's car while he was deployed to the Middle East, and told him by mailing him the hood ornament and started your letter with "It's a funny story..."?

It IS a funny story, still! What a horrible driver that van guy was. If you only knew how hard I cried and how AWFUL I felt, you would never bring up this story again. Although I do enjoy telling the story when people ask, "How come you got to drive a BMW for an entire summer?" The whole driving Uncle Mark's car just isn't the same without your car story. And as much fun as driving his car was, vaccuming all the sand out every day was not. I CAN however, tell you the entire "Rikki's barbie bathroom and how sand is an abrasive" story since Mark best teaches us through stories... did you ever hear that one?
Anyway, back to my point. It IS a funny story and it also was NEVER my fault that that happened. But good try. I knew you would either comment on your car or the deer stories... take your pick you have WAY too much dirt on me.
Thank goodness they didn't ask me about puking in people's cars OR Rocket would have chimed in with HER favorite story of me. Ahhh... I need to embarass myself in a new and less humiliating way so you and my sister-in-law can get new stories!
